Early Life and Education
Penn Badgley, an American actor known for his role as Dan Humphrey in the television series "Gossip Girl," was born on November 1, 1986, in Baltimore, Maryland.
He spent his childhood in Seattle and Richmond, attending Charles Wright Academy in Seattle and taking classes at the Seattle Children's Theater School. He also hosted radio shows for children during this time. In 1999, he moved to Los Angeles with his mother, and at the age of 14, Penn completed the California High School Proficiency Exam and began studying at Santa Monica College.
At 17, he was accepted into the University of Southern California.
Early Career
Penn's first job was providing voice-over work for the video game "Mario Golf 64" in 1999, although he claims to have never played it himself.
