The comedian known as Simply Marvalous died Wednesday in hospice care in Baton Rouge, La.
Moncrieffe was 64.
She had her own HBO half-hour comedy special in 1994, and followed that up with appearances on Def Comedy Jam, House Party 3 and Class Act.
And here she was more recently on BET’s Comic View, explaining what had changed in her life since we first saw her in the 1990s.
